I enjoy beautiful things, jewelry being one. So, it was natural for me to incorporate jewelry making as a part of my creating ceramics from the beginning, 50+ years ago. After a while I discovered, from daily doG walks along our CA coastal bluffs, natural clay deposits that would stick to my sneakers. Yuck...In the process of cleaning it off, I'd roll it into a ball and thus my daily ritual of giving thanks to the Powers That Be was born; a beatitude, a prayer, a bead. I'd spin this "blessing" in disguise into some of my jewelry pieces and Assemblages. Also, years back, I found sand dollars and then fossil sand dollars as float along our beaches where I live today. The small sand dollars are rare to find. The fossils even more so, being approximately 3 million years old. They are treasures from the ocean. A gift. In my late 20's I learned how to fabricate metal jewelry. Years later I learned how to do lapidary where I cut and polished the fossil sand dollars to fabricate into jewelry.

This is my signature collection; it speaks of my life and the language of art jewelry to adorn the wearer, contemplate, experience and enjoy.
